Sitting on Africa’s east coast and washed by the balmy waters of the Indian Ocean, Mozambique is probably the best-kept secret on the continent. Discover the wonderful stretches of unspoilt sugary white sand, crystal clear seas with world class snorkelling and diving. The country offers an ideal place to relax and unwind after safari in South or East Africa due to the ease of access. Once settled by the Portuguese you will find a strong colonial influence remains to this day. The Bazarutio Archipelago lies off the southern coast and is a wonderful string of jewel-like islands which offer the perfect escape from everyday life, while the Quirimbas Archipelago lies off the northern coast and is undiscovered gem of idyllic small islands.

Lying off the east coast of Africa in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean you will find the enchanting island of Madagascar. Its 80-million-year isolation has created an explosion of plants and animals found nowhere else on earth. Most famous are the acrobatic lemurs which are found in many of the country’s pristine rainforests. Surrounding this unique country are beautiful, unspoilt beaches with clear turquoise waters teeming with tropical reef and big game fish. The capital, Antananarivo (Tana for short), is a great place to start any Madagascar itinerary. This bustling city is a fascinating fusion of Asia, Africa and Europe and is sure to delight. Madagascar is a country of spectacular landscapes which will provide an inspiring and unique travel experience.
