Welcome to Victoria, a state of varied contrasts and home to the stunning stretch of coastline known as the Great Ocean Road.  Close to Melbourne, the vibrant and cosmopolitan state capital, the beautiful Mornington Peninsula is surrounded by rolling hills, bays and beaches.  Nearby, Phillip Island is home to penguins, seal, koalas and birdlife.  Also within easy reach of the city is the beautiful Yarra Valley and the Daylesford spa region.  Melbourne is also known as the sporting capital of Australia, and plays host throughout the year to numerous world-class sporting events such as the Formula 1, Grand Prix, Australian Open Tennis Championship and the famous Melbourne Cup, the ‘race that stops a nation’.
