Itinerary: Basle to Düsseldorf

Day 1: Basle

Fly from London Heathrow to Basle and transfer to your ship. Dine aboard and sail through the evening to Strasbourg. Dinner included.

Day 2: Strasbourg

After breakfast enjoy a guided coach tour of Strasbourg where you will see the European Parliament. Immerse yourself in the town’s history with a walk that will explore the famous Gothic Minster, the former tanners’ quarter 'Petite France' and other highlights. Return to your ship for an afternoon of scenic cruising, arriving at Speyer in the evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3: Mainz and Middle Rhine

Cruise through the early hours of the morning and arrive in Mainz in time for breakfast. Enjoy a visit to the Gutenberg museum, the World Museum of Printing and tour the impressive six tower cathedral at the heart of the city. Enjoy free time and the chance for a stroll in the shopping district before embarking your ship to cruise through the romantic Middle Rhine with its castles and the legendary Loreley Rock to Konigswinter. Day 4: Cologne and Düsseldorf

This morning become acquainted with over 2000 years of history with a guided city walk of Cologne. You will encounter Roman monuments and visit Cologne’s striking Cathedral - a masterpiece of the High Gothic period and one of the largest cathedrals in Europe. Sail to Düsseldorf where you will transfer to Düsseldorf Airport for your return flight to London. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Cologne

After breakfast take a walking tour of Cologne that takes you past Romanesque churches and to Cologne’s Old Town. Visit the impressive Gothic Cathedral at the heart of the city and tour a traditional brewery to sample the infamous local brew. Re-join your ship and depart for Koblenz. This evening enjoy a wine tasting excursion. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3: Mainz and Middle Rhine

Enjoy a morning of scenic cruising through the romantic Middle Rhine before arriving in Mainz. From here take a coach to Heidelberg for a guided walking tour in the afternoon. Explore the beautiful imposing sandstone ruins of Heidelberg Castle with unforgettable views of the city and stroll narrow picturesque alleys at leisure. Return to your ship and arrive in Speyer this evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4: Cologne and Düsseldorf

This morning take a scenic cruise from Speyer to Strasbourg/Kehl and enjoy a guided coach tour in the afternoon.
