Day 1: Cologne

Travel from London St Pancras by Eurostar/rail to Cologne. Upon arrival transfer to your five star hotel. You are free to discover the highlights of this city at your leisure. Why not visit the famous Cathedral and the Old Town?

Day 2: Passau

This morning return to Cologne station for your onward first class rail journey to Passau. Upon arrival in Passau, transfer to your ship. Dinner included.

Day 3: Melk

Arrive in Melk early morning then after breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Melk Abbey. During your visit you will see many fascinating details in the remarkable interior. The ship sails at lunchtime. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 4: Esztergom and Budapest

This morning’s excursion visits Esztergom Cathedral and the Danube Bend and includes the show “Royal Summit of the Kings” at Visegard. Sail to Budapest where arrival is late this afternoon. Enjoy some free time to discover this vibrant city or choose the optional “Budapest by Night” tour. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 5: Budapest

Today embark on a sightseeing tour, where you will be passing through ‘Pest’ along the Inner Ring to the Heroes’ Square with the Millennium Monument. This afternoon there is an optional excursion to Grassalkovich Palace, once a summer residence of Emperor Franz Josef I,and a visit to Puszta where you can see a display of traditional horsemanship. Alternatively, explore the delights of Budapest at your leisure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6: Bratislava

This afternoon you arrive in Bratislava to enjoy a guided city tour where you will visit the Primatial Palais and St. Martin’s Cathedral. Enjoy free time to explore the lively squares and picturesque alleyways that make this city so charming and return to your ship to dine aboard and cruise this evening to Vienna. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7: Vienna

After breakfast enjoy a guided city tour including a visit to the National Library in the Hofburg. Have lunch aboard and then explore Vienna with afternoon free time. Optional excursions are available to the Schönbrunn Palace or the Belvedere Palace and to an evening concert of Mozart and Strauss music. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 8: Dürnstein

Arrive in Dürnstein in time for breakfast and disembark your ship for a walking tour. As you stroll through this tranquil town you will visit the baroque Parish Church and enjoy a short organ recital. Return to your ship for an afternoon of scenic cruising through Austria’s Wachau Valley and dine aboard. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 9: Passau

Arrive at Passau in the morning to disembark and transfer to Passau railway station for your journey by first class rail to Cologne. Upon arrival transfer to your five star hotel. Enjoy your evening at leisure. Breakfast included.

Day 10: Cologne

This morning return to Cologne railway station for your return journey to London.
