About South Africa

South Africa's breathtakingly beautiful scenery dances between purple-tinted mountains and white-sand beaches, emerald-green vineyards and parched, brown grassland. The country is so enormous and diverse - culturally, geographically, weather-wise and ethnically - that there really is something to thrill everyone.
The Northern Province - 'big game country' - is home to increasingly luxurious game reserves, the famous Kruger National Park, the iconic African safari, and the 'big five' - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
Set between Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, cosmopolitan Cape Town nurtures a collection of cultures, languages, landscapes and activities that are uniquely Capetonian and quintessentially South African. To the east is Port Elizabeth or ‘P.E' - often called 'the friendly city' and a major sea port and tourist destination known for its sunshine, safe, golden beaches and nightlife. Beyond it lie primeval forests and the stunning coastal drive of the Garden Route.
Food is a highlight wherever you go. Of the 100 top restaurants in South Africa, eight are in Franschhoek, beneath the Drakenstein Mountains, under an hour's drive from Cape Town. Hospitality is part of the culture and you'll find that the people are as welcoming as the climate.
